It’s summertime…time for some light hearted fun… and so I shall blog about bread tags! As an organizer I love to throw things out if they are no longer useful. And I have to say I am always amazed at what people save…like bread tags! However I love to find new uses for old things. I think if forces me to be creative and yet the result is something useful. That speaks to me. Anyone that has worked with me on a design project knows that just about sums up my style…I seek to find creative aesthetic solutions but they must function in a practical useful manner. And so you can see how finding 7 new uses for old bread tags was right in my wheelhouse! So while I am not endorsing saving bread tags for the sake of saving them IF they might make your life easier…I say go for it!
USE #1: LABEL COMPUTER CORDS
This is my favorite and all it takes its a sharpie and some legible handwriting. Note that you might have to make some openings larger with a hole punch for certain cords
USE #2: FLIP FLOP REPAIR
Granted this is not a long term repair but it might hold up just long enough to get a replacement on board!
USE #3: LABEL THOSE SPARE KEYS
Do you have a container of keys that you have NO IDEA to what they open?
USE #4: WINE GLASS TAGS
Well I admit maybe not for an elegant dinner party but I could see a use at a large informal gathering. Write guest names on tags OR cartoon characters even…bring out someone’s inner Sponge Bob
USE #5: LABEL EXTENSION CORDS
Am I the only one that reaches in to find a short extention cord and comes up with 4 long ones? Label cords for a quick and speedy find.
USE #6: TAPE STARTER
Love this…no more searching for the end of the tape with your finger nail!
USE # 7: WEDDING DRESS?
Yeah well I just could not let this one slip buy! Hope it brings a smile 🙂
